Our school age program is designed for children who need before and/or after school care. This program complements the elementary school day by offering a variety of relaxing and recreational activities, as well as the opportunity to work on homework.
These activities include cooking, science, art, math, dramatic play, sports, field trips and much more. Weekly themes as well as The Creative Curriculum are used in planning the school age curriculum. Indoor and outdoor games and activities are also included in their daily schedules.
Shining Stars CDC also offers transportation from designated elementary schools throughout the area to make it easy for your child to attend the program, even if you work and cannot transport them yourself.
When a Holiday, snow day, or other non-scheduled school closing prevents your child from attending school, he or she may attend Shining Stars CDC for an additional fee when the center is open and if space is available. We do require that families call ahead to check availability for that day.
